Augmentin 1000mg is used in adults to treat bacterial infections of the skin, respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, soft tissues, and joints.

It is also used to treat a wide variety of infections, including dental infections, bone infections, and certain infections of the skin and bone caused by organisms sensitive to beta-lactams, neomyelitis, infections caused by streptococcus, Haemophilus influenzae, and other organisms.

Dosage depends on the age, weight, and route of administration. Children may be given a single dosage every 12 hours as needed.
